The Vikingland Curling Club men’s team won the consolation final at the inaugural USCA Arena Curling Championships in Fort Wayne, Indiana on Saturday night. The VCC team started the tournament with a convincing 11-0 win over the Parker rink from Lansing Michigan, but stumbled with last shot losses in the next two games against the Wiesen rink from San Francisco, California (6-8) and the Wheeler rink from Pittsburg, Pennsylvania (5-7), before posting convincing wins over the Marshall rink from Greenville, South Carolina (10-3), the Cooke rink from Richmond, Virginia (10-5) and closing out the tournament with a decisive victory over the Havercraft rink from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (7-1) in six ends.
The Vikingland team consisted of local curlers Troy Dittberner, Andy Siira, Logan Moore, Michael Bouressa and Jason Lattimer
The Arena Championship was held on July 18th-21st.

Dittberner Rink is 2012 Vikingland Curling Club champions following a four week playdown. Dittberner (Troy Dittberner, Craig Erickson, Chris Erickson and Lori Zmuda) beat the Timmerman Rink (Eric Timmerman, Scott Threinen, Dan Hilback and Josh Boyer) who took the Silver Medal. Rock Solid Rink (Jason Lattimer, Dennis Cuchna, Lars Nelson and Twyla Anderson) beat Caps Crew Curling for the Bronze Medal.
